short jumpsuit (made using pattern from burda magazine 05/2013, mod 129a)
it’s wrap jumpsuit with cute little sleeves
i really loved the pattern
but it took a bit of adjusting to get it fit the way i wanted
i made it in size 19
(that is equivalent to 38.. and i’m not a petite size
so i should have probably added few cms to bodice length..
but it is comfy enough this way too
just the waist hits a bit higher than it should)
fronts and neck are finished with bias tape
(made using self fabric)
and i added elastic into the channel that bias tape created
to keep the neckline in control
(without it, it would be imposible to wear jumpsuit as is
cause the neckline was so low you could see my belly button)
i guess there were some more sophisticated changes
i could make to fix the gaping neckline
like sew in some snaps or make some minor alterations to the bodice
but elastic did the trick, and was a really quick fix
i also cut the legs shorter
cause i don’t really find knee high shorts flatering on me

1.7m rayon challis
2m elastic, 1cm wide
