Made from a vintage ’80s Simplicity pattern I had in my stash (9517 was the number, but I notice pattern companies tend to recycle numbers). Fun to make and wear! The gathered waist looks like shirring but was made by dividing a large strip of bias tape into 4 casings for elastic (as per the pattern instructions). I added belt loops, made the legs a bit slimmer and took up a tuck in the center back to keep the neckline from gaping.
