Description

I used an Ikea fabric for this skirt. No pattern was used but it is basically like the “quick party skirt” just with a higher waist. Unfortunately, the fabric shrank a lot in length during pre-washing and I had a hard time to make it as long as possible. For this I used a faced hem. Even though it is shorter than I wanted it to be, I like it a lot and am hoping for better weather so I can wear it soon. More info on my blog: http://sewionista.blogspot.com/

Thank you both for your nice comments. I interfaced both the inner and outer waistband and the skirt is fully lined. Probably should have mentioned that. You should definitely wash the fabric beforehand. Mine lost 10% in length. Good luck with it!

I have the same fabric but only in black and white for my first charlie bag, or anything for that matter. Did you need interfacing to get it sturdy enough? Or did you use lining?
