While on vacation for Thanksgiving, I dug up my Grandmother’s old sewing machine and walked my cousin Julie through a pair of slippers. She’s always loved crafting with me, and now that she’s nearly ten we’re onto much trickier projects. We kind of rushed on these, but they turned out great considering how little time we spent. When I hand-stitched the insoles into the slippers it ended up causing some substantial puckering, but she decided she liked it better that way so we’ll just pretend we meant for it to happen.
OOOOHHH and I got a digital camera on the cheap at around 4am on Black Friday, so from this project forward I shall have NICE detailed photos. yay:)
Cotton outer. Fleece lining plus triple-layered fleece insole. Big and small plastic pink buttons layered on top each other just for show. Velcro closure.
