As it getting really cold here I decided to try the Amy. After searching high and low for knitted fabric and sweatshirt fabric I almost gave up till I found this pinstripe velour. It cost £1.00 a metre! Bought 2 metres. Also bought 1 metre of ribbing for £3.50 (got loads left).
As its not stretchy I made it in the largest size so it would go over a t-shirt easily. I used red cotton to brigthen it up a little (I love red!) and I left the ends of the waistband showing to give it an unfinished feel. Prefered to have the placket in the same material instead of ribbing as I thought it would look better. Struggled with the placket but I’m very happy with the result!
My boyfrend said it looked like a Juicy tracksuit I used to have hence the name lol!
