Jonny is one of my favorite base patterns – a simple, sloper styled bodice that is easy to lengthen and alter. For this project, I chose to create a lovely crossover bodice, with a neckline high enough to not warrant wearing a camisole beneath. I do a lot of social dancing, so a dress that didn’t need a slip or a cami was a high priority. Also high priority was a large skirt, so I drafted a full circle skirt and used the Jonny skirt with an added ruffle as lining.
Fashion Fabric – Black moleskin from Joanns.
Lining – Teal fabric of unknown fiber content or provenance.
Sash – Pique weave poly ribbon from Joanns, clearance.

I love your dress but I can’t seem to find that PDF you mentioned. Can you re-upload it please? I would love to make a dress like yours.

Thank you for these most clear instructions. Math was, and still is my least-favored subject. I will be down-sizing for my granddaughters. Cordially, Nehmah
