Jonny is a great Cocktail/Dinner Dress if made in Chiffons or Satins. Leaving out the lining of the sleeves gives the Dress more of an Evening look. If you are in desperate need of some new office clothes, try a wool or corduroy. Another variation would be to make it sleeveless. Wear a fun long sleeve underneath in a different color!

I’m a bit confused about this pattern. Has the bodice been made using lining as well or is it contrasting fabric? Help!

It’s still really sweet, but it makes me wish I had downloaded it when it was still free…

Ack! I just realized that I cut out the lining back thinking it was the skirt. That’s why it was long enough lol. Sorry. Boy I’m off to a troubled start. I was concentrating on matching plaids. kathy

I love this pattern and just bought it a few days ago. I am just now cutting out the skirt part and noticed that the front skirt printed 3 INCHES SHORTER THAN THE BACK! I had planned on adding 3 inches since I am 5ft9in, and was surprised that when I measured it appeared that I didn’t need to. Thank goodness I cut out the back first! Am now adding 3 inches to the front pattern piece. By the way the test square measurement was accurate. So Buyers BE CAREFUL!! Its an easy fix, as long as you notice in time. I made a crazy fabric choice of purple and grey/black buffalo print light weight taffeta so am cutting one piece at a time single layer. My plan is to make it sleeveless but with attachable sleeves of a contrasting fabric. Who knows though since it has to be done by next Wednesday. Kathy

The choice of fabrics is fantastic. I already have a fitted pattern for a dress of this shape just never thought of this fabric combination. Another one on the to do list.
