Always like to be flashy for our annual New Year’s Eve parties, saw the MACY’s ad and the model had the coolest Tartan Plaid pants on. That was all i needed to inspire the look i was going for. Of course you can’t just run up to MACY’s and buy those pants – I don’t even believe they sell them? What’s the point in advertising clothes you dont sell?! SOOooo, it was up to me to make ‘em. This was my first pair of pants – I was nervous about making them; the zipper, pockets, etc. I found the material online but it was $25 a yard – OUCH! didnt feel like dropping that money and then having them turn out bad. I found this material at Joanns – its an interesting synthetic cotton linen, something you most likely would use for maybe a table cloth. it was cheap and my best choice for material/pattern. Overall they turned out great – many compliments – "KEN YOU MADE THOSE PANTS! ….You’re crazy!"
