Description

I saw these high society lunch bags appearing in several catwalks but Jil Sander’s defo got my attention…obviously obsessed with JS. Once you get your hands on some leather or faux leather about 70*50cms you’re got to go. I found a little tutorial on the lovely MONOXIOUS girls website…only they made paper version but the instructions are just the same for all other material you can think of and hard enough to give you a good shape and hold. I used iron-on stiffener on the leather inside though…you must be very carefull when you iron on over leather ok?!

It really is so easy to make. I started out with paper ones but to be honest they looked hideous as average people don’t usually wear paper bags with them. Also, it rains a lot here and they were badly ruined after a few wears. I chose leather as it is durable and super cool looking. I thrifted a leather coat and used the back part of it for my bag. Try it and if you made one let me know :)
