This is a dress I made for a client for Old Year’s night. It’s made of bridal satin and was a bit of a challenge at the gathered waist. It’s quite full and the fabric was thick so the gathered areas were bulky. The way I did the neckline and bodice was by pinning my dressform in areas where I wanted the neckline and seams positioned. I then drafted pattern pieces by measuring and position my paper at those pin lines. That’s probably why it fits the dressfor so well. Hopefully it shall fit the client just as good.
Oh I put a pic of my burdastyle winnings…Thank you Burdastyle :) I feel so special!
