Fitted lined bodice with a shirred midrif and gathered skirt. I used a Butterick pattern (5457). The dress was shorted by 4-5" to create a cocktail-like dress. My daughter said that the bodice had great support for the strapless dress. It was so much fun to work with the silk. I enjoy working with it. My advice is to take your time and use your iron after sewing.
