Hi!! I fell in love with this knot front dress pattern as soon as I saw it in the burda issue. Too bad for me that it was a tall women pattern:((( That was a huuuuuuge problem for me because I am petite and I ‘m also too lazy to adjust the pattern, make muslins to try the fit etc…so the dress had remained in my wish list for several months. Some days ago I finally decided to make it! I used a black jersey lycra a little heavy and drapey. I didn’t alter the length of the bodice pattern though: 1) because of laziness and 2) because I wanted a lower waistline. So I decided to risk it, I had nothing to loose except 2 meters of fabric;) The result is nice in my opinion. The dress is not exactly empire and this is not a problem, I like it with the lower waistline. But there is problem with the heavy fabric at the front which pulls even more downwards the waist seam. I have thought of adding some strap at the inside to secure the front at the bra (something like the bra strap holders, but positioned at the front waist). Except of this little problem the dress was very easy to make, a very quick and rewarding project:)
