Having owned my sewing machine for a number of years I feel quite silly to have only just discovered the stretch stitch function and the fact that I can employ twin needles.
I made this dress from jersey knit cotton and used an old pattern that a friend gave me, Simplicity 9370. I love the asymmetric neckline. I wasn’t so keen on the long slits up the sides so I gathered them and sewed them together.

Hmm I wonder if I can use twin needles on my old(ish) machine? I only descovered 2 projects ago the needle threader. Have fun discovering more stitches on your machine. Love the dress.

Thanks.
You probably can use a twin needle, I was surprised that I could! It’s really great to have opened up a whole new world of garments (ie jersey) to be able to sew!

very nice job and good idea about the slits. By the way, you are not the only one, I have owned my sewing machine for what seems like forever and have only just discovered the stretch stich and used a twin needle for the first time in my life ! (and there are quite a few stiches to be experimented with yet !!)
