Jersey "Get over Fear" Dress with Leopard Border Print Scarf...

Description
This is my get over fear project of sewing with jersey. I admired jersey a lot when I see other persons using it. Jersey is such a versatile fabric to use, beautiful style and fabulous draping can be created producing a nice garment. I shy away from using it because it tends to stretch excessively and puckers.
I cut a simple dress with 3/4 sleeve…just free hand cut and tweak the fitting to conform to my body shape. The neckline of the dress is bateau and it is self faced inside and attached to the sleeves at the shoulder. I then insert the sleeves and voila I am on my way. I am glad of how it turned out :-).
Top
The chiffon scarf style has bateau neckline and stitched side seams
The entire project was kind of easy and I was dress and ready to go out. I wear it with the scarf top to give it an hippie look. Thanks for looking :-)
Material Notes
1 1/4 jersey
1/2 yd chiffon

it falls lovely and the metal colour is pretty! i find stretchy fabrics so wearable… but if its really stretchy it can be hard for me to sew in a straight even line x

Thanks very much Robson…So true! jersey can be so beautiful but the ones that are too stretchy becomes difficult to work with
