I handmade this dress out of 100% super soft jersey fabric. The bust and back are lined and it has elastic casing on the upper back for a good fit. I love the movement the flounces create when you walk. It looks really cool on a windy day, and because the lining is form fitting it’s not going to fly up.
I draped the bust on my dress form and used flat pattern techniques to make the flounces. Overall it was pretty simple.
I made this dress in two colors – black and teal.
I was very lucky to have Photographer Meg Schutz and model Mandy Murphy take these pictures for me!
