My take on a sporty version of the Azalea Dress. Over a pair of pants in the office, at night just with a pair of nice heels or sandals

Oh, this is so pretty, and edgy too! I like your layered waistband, it really accentuates where your waist is. and the jersey looks comfyyyy…

I absolutley LOVE the colours of this dress. Did you use lots of strips of different colours seamed together or is the fabric striped like that right from the roll? I only see gathers at the top where the dress attaches to the yoke, so I can’t tell!

The extra long sash is great for the multiple ties around the waist, it makes the dress so interesting to have that “lots of fabric” essence but for it to seem so soft and light perfect for summer, and i love the gathers at the edges of each block of color! successo!

I just visited the Old Navy store and they stole your idea! :) It was a dress exactly similar at the top, made out of plain cotton instead of the jersey, and gathered with raw edges on every horizontal line of color.
Looks great!

Hey Jellybean, thanks for noticing, that helps and is really odd, that with the comment thing. Thanks to both for your nice comments on my creation

It looks really nice in those colours. I liked the original as well, but this just gives the dress a whole new look. By the way something weird just happened — I wanted to comment when I first saw your new creation the other day, but there was nowhere to leave a comment. Tonight, before I logged on, I clicked on your creation again and noticed the comment button, so I thought I would log on first to comment, but guess what? No comment button! So I logged out again to comment. Just thought I’d let you know in case it helps with the bug-tracking.

this is a great version of that dress. I didn’t like it much. But the colours are great and kinda sporty.
