And… if you cross the suspenders in the back, they’ll be less likely to fall off your shoulders.

    :)

    Cute idea.

I have a feeling I’m going to have some leftover velvet from a project I’m working on…This could be an idea for it.

Yay the suspenders version, I am going to rescue my failed Danielle dress and use the fabric to make this skirt. I don’t mind the velvet, it’s super cute with the crisp white shirt but I could never wear it in Western Australia, way too hot here. Thanks BurdaStyle xx

I love the look of velvet, but I had to stop wearing it in skirts and trousers because I make the nap go all funny when I sit on it! So embarrassing!

Anybody know how to avoid this? I mean, besides avoiding sitting.

This skirt looks great, I want some velvet!

P.S. That is the strongest fashion model ever! 2 bowling balls, wow!

Ok, we get the point, you’re tired of the variations. Well guess what? Next week is a brand new pattern, which actually happens to be my favorite BurdaStyle piece we’ve ever made!! Ever. So sit tight;)

Cool. Its not that we’re tired of ‘variations’-its just the lack of actual variation in the ‘variations’ that’s off-putting.

Yeahhhhhh, renewal comes with Spring! Before the big surprise I allow myself to hope for something intricate that overstretches the limit of drafting! Some tulip/harem trousers a la Anne Valerie Hasche would be great!!!! Looking forward to your forthcoming creations.Best

We are working on that, it is a problem which lays in the hands of our developers and we are awaiting an answer. Sorry about that.

That will definetly sell like hot buns! I can already envision several weekly inspirational variations around this type of garment…nice one!

Actually the instructions are completely wrong for the first half, why do I need pieces 7 & 8 for the skirt? Those pieces are for the dress, I am assuming the piece labelled “strap” is the suspenders but it’s not reffered to that in the instrucitons…also they say “THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ARE CORRECT FOR THE JENNY DRESS.” can’t we get a set of instructions correct for this skirt? I don’t mean to sound harsh but come on guys, this is a $7.50 pattern, correct and individual instructions for each variation would be nice.

I’ve just re-uploaded the instructions for the Jenny skirt with suspenders. They look correct to me, they were definitely incorrect before, we’re sorry about that mix-up. Should be good to go now.

Ok skirt, but I would never wear velvet, somehow it still feels so 90’s to me…. I indeed also hope you guys maybe have another pattern next week? That would be awesome!

I like her shoes… :) Otherwise, who needs a pattern for two straps of fabric? I´m quite looking forward to something else than Jenny/Malissa (or how is the similar pattern called) :).

Velvet is my favorite fabric, so I can’t NOT like this skirt! The suspenders are cool, too. However, I am a little done with the whole “make a pattern and 20 slightly different variations” thing. Thanks for the pattern, now can we see something new and a bit more detailed?

I also wondered what was up with bowling and jenny. The dress is not my style but not bad at all. The suspenders would probably be more stable if crossed in the back…

I was thinking of crossing them at the back too, for extra cuteness :)

Nice fabric for the skirt – without the suspenders, though. If I was forced to wear a skirt with suspenders I would choose a neutral colour like black or maybe some tweed.

I don’t know, but that is Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg. I’ve been wanting to go there. It looks like a fun alley.
