This is a version of Burda’s Jenny Skirt with Suspenders. I added three inches to the length and decreased the depth of the waistband by about an inch and a half. The fit was perfect first time! This is a lovely, flattering skirt. I’ve blogged about it here:

It’s gorgeous! It’s fits like a glove and looks so chic with your top! Lovely job!

The whole outfit is gorgeous. And I love the heart candle holder in the background (I’ve got it in red). The ruffles on the top are beautiful.

I keep hearing great things about the Jenny skirt and I have a soft spot for pencil skirts so might have to try it. Yours looks great and I love the top too.

I did indeed make the top! I’ve made four versions of this top. It’s a Simplicity 2599 made in a cotton sateen. The sateen works really well with those ruffles. Thanks for asking and for your compliments.

Love the skirt but your top is beautiful. I haven’t went to the blog yet, so I’m asking now. Did you make the top as well?
