This isn’t at all vintage (although going by the hairstyle of the mother in the pattern photo, it probably goes back to the Eighties). It’s a child’s jumper in the smallest pattern size (24") which I made in order to use up two-and-a-half balls of this fancy wool with puffs of coloured thread in mauve and purple.
This is my first attempt at raglan shoulders, and I must say they look very odd to me….
I must admit that this was a nice simple pattern to follow, though, compared to my usual ambitious attempts: the wool knitted up to the exact tension required automatically, and the whole body consists of flat stocking-stitch, allowing the fancy patterning of the wool to do all the work. Quite boring to knit, in fact!
The contrast colour used was the deep purple left over from my Big Ben jumper, which matched rather nicely.
About 250g of Robin Jelli Been DK wool and 25g or so of contrast colour.
1 pair 4mm needles and 4 x 3.25mm needles (the extra pair used to make knitting the neck edging easier)

Nice, the colours are very good together. And you’re right this is a jumper to knit in front of the tele.
