Added Feb 25, 2013
February is black history month and we here in Jamaica celebrates Jamaica Day. I so wanted to represent my country to the full extend by wearing the Jamaican colours. Seeing that it was a last minute thing as I was informed on Thursday and the event was Friday morning I had to quickly get my thinking together.
I decided to use the panel dress where I could play with the colours and the time frame was very short. The colours used in my dress represent what my country stands for:
Green – represents the land and the lush vegetation and motivation to move the country ahead
Yellow – represents the sun, natural resources and the beauty of the sunlight
Black – represents the strength and creativity of the people despite the hardship and many challenges we faced
I modified the length by shorten it by 5 inches. I can wear it without leggings and with slender pants.
My dress turns head with its radiant beauty and the way I uses the colour. It is indeed a very sexy dress for hot days.
So happy I could represent Jamaica Day 2013 :-)
