This is a jacket that one of my co-workers wanted me to create for her. She did not exactly have a style in mind but she loved jackets and rastafarian theme colors. I was in the phase ( and still am actually ) of loving military styled jackets, so I thought the style would be perfect for her.
The one mistake I made was not including red on the jacket. Rasta colors are green, gold and red. Because I don’t typically pay much attention to rasta colors mainly because I don’t like primary colors, I didn’t realize before she told me this after I gave her the jacket.
She however LOVED the jacket. It fit her like a glove and she said she was center of attention the minute she walked in at the party she wanted to wear it to. I made a black bustier lined with gold on the front to go with it but she didn’t get that because I had to take it in some more and she was leaving the island so I didn’t get the time to take it in. I was a little sorry she didn’t get it because the bustier would have looked so hot with it. I still have it, i’m thinking about altering it and wearing it myself. I’ll post pictures of the bustier soon.
…and I might make a jacket similar to that one to wear it with, hope I find the time….
