I finished this pattern now it’s really good.. regarding the collar I just snipped it in an inch from the top and an inch in from the side angled towards the base so it still fits on the collar stand. Looks really good :)

Forgot to say – I’d put another button on the bottom you can see the model’s belly! :P

just finished making this pattern and i also found that the collar stand was a bit too long. the collar itself is also a bit unweildy… too large. my shirt turned out ok beyond that. i’d love to see another version, with a smaller collar… one that wouldn’t be big enough to accomodate the tie.

thanks a lot for this pattern! i will try it. but i think the collar looks very strange ( too big, broad). anyway we will see how it turns out with some changes at it.

I was loving this pattern and instructions until it came to the collar stand, which is really trying my patience! Mine doesn’t match up with the neckline as it’s far too long. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Be sure that the lower edge of the collar stand doesn’t stretch by stay stitching before continuing with the construction. Stay stitch the shirt neckline and clip the edge in several places until the neckline can be laid straight, this will make the neck of the shirt the same length as the collar stand.

Nice pattern and looks easy to modify, but do you think next time they could use a model that showered and shaved?:)

Great! I think I’ll have to make it for my father one day. On general principles. :-) It looks exactly like all his shirts, so I’m sure he’d like it. When I happen to make it…
