This is my first attempt at a non dress/skirt pattern. I made this shirt for my husband who has a grey suit from a bridal party and no shirts to wear it with. It was also a gift: cotton shirt for our cotton wedding anniversary!
I had to alter the pattern from the smallest size 48 down to a 44. I also altered the collar to be more like a dress shirt to be worn with a tie and used a two-piece placket facing. I’ve attached my altered collar piece and the pattern for the non-square half of the placket facing. If you chose to use the collar I have drafted, you will need to add 5mm for each size jump to the length along the fold line i.e to go from size 44 to 46 add 5mm.

Super job and fits him like a glove. What a sweet wife :) Now he has an incentive to gift you more fabric!
