My friend came to me with a request to make her an overcoat, but she didn’t want it to look like one. She said that she wants a JACKET for winter! RUSSIAN winter is very cold I must say. So we got wool, and I just had to pave it with baize, because the model is not very long and front area is quite open. So I used Burda 8/2009 #102 pattern and made it! The jacket came out great – a bit heavy though.

This is such a beautiful jacket/coat. That dark green wool is beautiful and the golden buttons are spot on. This is very elegant and looks quite warm at the same time. Maybe your friend will still need a big scarf, no?
