Many details of this jacket were inspired by Jj’s coat that was posted some time ago. (Jj’s inspiration can be seen on her How To#206: Drafting the odd trench. It is made of silk cashmere + interlining + brown lining. Parts of it were knitted.

Hi Kasia, I think your jacket is really hip! Great fit too. I love the idea of knitting cuffs – hip bands and sewn into the garment. I have seen one hoods jacket in crafter.org that has the knited bands/cuffs and always want to make one. I have checked back to your other creations and found that I’m making coat with exactly the same pattern(Burda pattern #106 from 9/07 issue) as your jacket.
