Love this – why are you changing the top? From what I can see it looks great. Great style and my favourite colours – looking to do something like this for myself too.

Thank you :) I have a couple of reasons for remaking the top. The bra base originally used is inappropriate. It’s soft and not sufficient coverage. The velvet used for the vest is faded and crushed from sweaty use. And my final reason is that I want the top to share more design elements with the belt. I still have the pattern I drafted for the vest and may choose to build a new one, possibly from stretch velvet.

There’s a lot of crushed velvet on the site, and I like the idea of the Turkish vests – as they seem to give more coverage and support.
