Ivory Satin Flower Girl Dress (Vogue 7819)

Description
I made this flower girl dress for my three-year-old daughter from Vogue 7819. I used an ivory silk satin at the bride’s request, but then found the skirt looked lumpy atop the layers of tulle. (That’s why you should always follow the pattern guidelines, people!). I solved the problem by adding another underskirt (made at the last minute from my own slip) so the satin would lie smoothly. The pattern was easy to sew, and is adorable. But choose your fabrics wisely, my friends. I came this close to passing off a David’s Bridal gown as my own…You can read more about it and see a few more photos at my blog: http://mybeaubaby.blogspot.com/2011/10/lovely-flower-girls-in-which-i.html
