Chapel Hill, Uni...
I used the ribbon dress pattern from March of this year to create this dress. It went together smoothly. I fell in love with the print. From a distance it looks like a floral, but up close you can see little bunnies scattered about.
If I were to make it again, I would make the scoop neck not as wide as my bra straps have a tendency to show. Granted, I don’t know if a tighter curve would make the petersham ribbon more difficult to attach.
Couldn’t flip the pictures into the appropriate direction for some reason.
The only reason I would classify this dress as “intermediate” and not “novice” is that the edgestitching for the petersham ribbon can get a little tricky and turn out looking wonky.
Quilting cotton (for this application it seemed to work fine)
