Burda Style For people who sew
Description
The bodice + sleeves are made from my altered pattern of the Tulip Tea Dress pattern from Sew Hip magazine. As for the skirt portion, I got my inspiration from one of the skirt variations from the Burdastyle Sewing Handbook. I used facings instead of a lining as the material is on the thick side.

Love it! May I ask you how did you constructed the back part of the skirt? Are there gatherings all around the waist?

Thank you, kelerabeus! The back of my dress has 2 more panels, each width measures from the center back (where I attach the invisible zipper) to the dart on each side of the back bodice. I then add seam allowances to the 2 pieces. I basically rely on the side skirt panels to cater for the roominess of the skirt. However, you can make the 2 back panels slightly wider and gather/pleat them so that the back is more roomy. =)
