Description

I decided to go as Ugly Betty to a friend’s party, so I made my own dress out of vintage fabric from my grandma’s stash of funky and cute floral prints. It’s oversize and I cinched it with red belt. Teal tights and a red cardigan of my own completed the ensemble.

Material Notes

Vintage 1960s cotton floral print

Haha, that’s so awesome! I was Ugly Betty last year for Halloween. I did a costume change from the “Guadalajara” poncho she wore in the first season to an outfit similar to what you’re wearing. I even made my own little copies of Mode Magazine to carry around. So, I definitely think you did an awesome job.

Haha. As soon as I saw “It’s Betty!”, I knew exactly what it was! Ugly Betty is my favorite show! Awesome job on your costume! =)

Thanks, so much! I love Ugly Betty too…which is funny because I work at a magazine, wear glasses and really do dress/act a little kooky sometimes.
