Now that I am home on maternity leave, I’ve had time to go through my stash of fabrics and trims. I decided to make these cute aprons for my three nieces and my little girl (when she’s old enough to use it). All the fabrics are cotton so that they can be easily machine-washed.
I based it very loosely on a Burda style pattern, but it’s different enough to not be the same apron. I eliminated the ruffles on the bottom and added the extra embroidered layer with a cute trim that is rounded at the corners. I also replaced all the ties with elastic at the waist and velcro at the neck because I don’t think kids want to deal with ties. The elastic and velcro allow for easy size adjustment so that the aprons can fit the girls for many years.
I really hope they like these aprons and have wonderful tea parties together!
