My current project is this simple organic baby quilt. It’s made from organic cotton, also the padding is said to be organic. It was my first attempt to quilting, so I decided to make it simple.
It’s a gift for friends who became parents the day before yesterday. Unfortunately they didn’t tell me before if its going to be a boy or girl. I was 80% sure it would be a boy since they told me their prefered colors would be earth colors + green. Guess what, it’s a girl :-).
Hope they’ll like it even though it’s not very girly….
It’s not 100% finished yet, I still need to close the last seam. My question to you:
Would you only close it or also sew around the outer edges with some seam allowance in order to have some kind of frame? I’m a total beginner when it comes to quilting…I would appreciate your suggestions.
My inspiration was a quilt that I saw in a window shop, you can see it on the last pic.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
