I found this wild polar fleece and couldn’t resist the urge to make a new coat for my Italian Greyhound. He loves the coat- but not pictures :P The first coat pictured in black with skulls has a longer neck for warmth. The second coat shown is made out of a woven fabric with a short neck and crenelated edges to look like the barding worn by Italian Greyhounds in the Renaissance period as companions to nobility and the final coat picture with maple leaves is a polar fleece version with a short neck.
Good news! I now have the digital pattern and instructions created for this turtle neck poncho for Italian Greyhounds. You may email me at Kimberly@NightLilyDesign.com with your size request (Bittie or Biggie). Payments are taken through PayPal. I’m happy to send you an invoice through PayPal if that’s easier. Each pattern is $4 with $3 of that money going as a donation to the Colorado Italian Greyhound Rescue Group. This a beginner level pattern with very easy construction.

Thanks everyone :) This polar fleece was soo soft and stretchy that it had no ‘structure’. I had to add straps for the back legs to keep it from sliding off. No fur and no body fat to speak of make clothes a must :P
