Description

I made a few changes to the tunic top 115A from Burda 05/09, because I wanted to try it using an embroidered fabric for the yoke, and this way would use more of the embroidered pattern. This is the trial run using fabric left over from some pjs I made for my sister. Basically I made the yoke straight rather than curved at the bottom and changed the neck line a bit. I then changed the bottom part to fit the changes I’d made to the top.

Material Notes

The main fabric is Liberty cotton, the yoke is just a random from my stash.

Love the colours and patterns, they have a perfect amount of clash and cohesion. It would be great to see a close up, especially of the yoke pattern. So to answer the question, yes it does work! a x

I like the 2 fabrics together – I think the colours work!

I think the fabrics do work together, it is busy, but doesn’t seem to clash. I, personally, would angle the yoke on the sides so that it’s not quite so ‘bib-like’ and probably shorten it a bit as well so that the pleats/gathers would start right above the bust, but that’s just my opinion, and since you wanted more of that fabric, that probably isn’t something you’d want to do. :) looks good though!
