My old spring/fall jacket was about 8 years old and started to fall apart so I decided to make a new one myself. It needed to be light as the weather can vary between chilly and warm during spring/fall and I could just put either a woollen sweater or t-shirt underneath the jacket. And it also needed to be somewhat waterproof as it rains quite often in the fall and I usually ride my bike everywhere I go.
I found this lovely and light silvery-blue fabric which doesn’t get wet easily and the price was reasonable so here is my jacket. This summer has been horrible, raining all the time so that the jacket has been very useful already.
The pattern is from Burda magazine, but I can’t remember the issue. The original pattern didn’t have lining so I added it and also an extra pocket inside the jacket.

Very nice! I know that pattern, always liked the cut, but I wish they wold have made the collar into a hood, for when it really does rain…anyway, very well made!
