I used to “Pinafore dress” pattern to make this dress. I wanted a dress I could wear to go to work and that’s why a chose black farbic. But I am not that serious so I decided to use a really visible purple zipper in the back.
I used bias made from the same fabric for the arm holes and the neck line. I used a purple zig zag stitch for the arm holes and another purple fancy stitch for the neckline and bottom hem.
I intended to add the pockets at frist and I even cut them out but I found the dress really nice without them so I spared additional work :)
I made only one alteration to the pattern: I added darts on the front part of the shoulders because I found the neckline was too far from the body.
I really enjoyed the video tutorial. Thanks a lot to Angela kane for the videos and for the pattern!
