My 12 year old daughter designed this for her VAQ (production) assignment last year, I made it. Basically the pattern is taken from the shape and size of the IPad, with a few embellishments. The bag is lined in fleece to protect the IPad and comes with a pocket to hold earbuds and IPad accessories. The button and buckle are purely decorative as the fastening is velcro. I inserted a piece of hard plastic into the back of the bag to provide extra protection and getting it to fit and sewing around it was probably the trickiest part. The bag is padded with quilt batting and has worked very well for the best part of a year now and I use it constantly. If I made others in the future I would swap the decorative buckle with proper fastenings, as the strap is designed to go across the body and it is a bit long for my liking.
