Description

Dress I designed for draping class. I originally made it for the class dress form, but redid it to fit me better.

Front bust has two pleats and a princess seam pretending to be a pleat, matched across shoulders to back.

Thanks everyone! Senasews: yes, I created the dress in draping class. But since I took this class before my flat pattern class, the pattern itself is pretty horrific looking :) I actually haven’t worn it out since I haven’t found the right occasion yet. It’s too dressy for work, but not dressy enough for things like weddings and parties.

Exquisite! wish I could do draping like that, the design is very beautiful, as well as the colors and embellishment choice.

Looks great and i love the inverted pleat. Don’t know wether i get it right: did you construct the pattern on your own? thats even more impressing.

I love the way you shaped the bodice, with all the curved seams. It’s a great dress, wearable and spectacular at the same time.

I like that curved v detail on the neckline, and the dress is very flattering. Nice work!
