Hickory, North C...
Here’s a fun little blouse that I made from a cute Heidi Grace designed forest print cotton fabric. The front placket and little collar are made from white cotton. I used Simplicity 8927 (copyright 1970), View 2. What attracted me to this particular design were the raglan sleeves, the tiny collar, the retro mod feel and the fact that the front closure is actually a zipper hidden by a placket. The front placket is simply sewn onto the front, snaps at the neckline with a hidden snap and is trimmed with non-functional buttons. I used 6 of the little birds from the fabric to make the self-covered buttons. This was a cinch to make – only took 4 hours from start to finish!
