Description

I based my theme around insects, however I feel it looked much more costumey than intented :)
This was made for school work as part of my art and design coursework.
My friend Adele modelled the dress for me because she’s just lovely!

Material Notes

A basic pattern was used before the skirt was then fitted tightly and panels added on top. Cotton sheeting was used to create a base then a wider mix of cottons and others were used as the outer panels to give an impression of an armoured insect. The 'cape' is polychiffon which I straight stitched over in order to emulate the vein pattern seen on the bugs wings sadly these photo's don't show the metallic stitching very well.
