I found a similiar top on Anthropologie’s website and had a feeling I could make a version. I used the body of the JJ pattern to provide the basic button-down shirt style. Moving the fabric around, I turned it into a strapless button-down. Then added the fabric sashes at the side seams, and panel of smocking at the back. The cotton is quite thin, so I also added a purple lining to the inside. The button-front was a bit gappy as I sized the top to make it tight across the bust, so I sewed the button-front closed and made the top a pull-over. And now I have the perfect top for those hot summer days!

Very pretty! It’s so nice that you were able to re-create & personalize something you saw in the store. It’s original and CHEAPER that way!
