Actually this was made in a hurry but i dint get round to finishing it yet(notice the missing hooks at the front closing). I started off with the body colored lining first, using the basic indian blouse pattern to use as the base. I sewed the gathers on to the base. I had a tough time wid the gathering coz I had no pattern. Anyway this is how i wore it- to attend a friends wedding(with a saari of course!). will sew in the remaining hooks soon.

This is very special – love the colours and the gathering has worked well. I would love to try this sort of gathering on the bodice of a dress…

yes, i too think it will look good. I m actually trying it on the bodice of another dress, but since the fabric is printed the gathers are not as visible. let me see how it turns out.

I would love to have the pattern!!! I *ahem outgrew the choli I wore for my wedding. Need a new one to attend a Bollywood-themed party next month. Your version looks more fancy than the regular store bought ones!
