Thank you, I thought about adding a check, kick and interest (-: Do you have traditional clothing in Indonesia?
May 28, 2011, 12.25 PMby Tokie Ang
yes i have..batik. the pattern is in modern batik and the styles also in modern styles..
if u wanna see my project in batik, u can see my project called: my heart, sexy monroe (other alternate) and there are another styles in my burda studio..they made from batik..
and if u ever heard bout kebaya, it’s also one from indonesia..i haven’t make this yet..but when am free i want to make it one for sample..^^
u also can make one by ur self actually if u want cos it is more modern for the style these days..

Agreed! I just finished a cowl top and it’s missing something. The chains really dress up the shirt so now I’m looking for something that will match my top (will publish when finished).

batik is the name of the fabric.usually made from cotton. but in modern batik, they are now provie in rayon fabric also.
i cant make the batik (i mean the print on the fabric, not the sewing :) ). it need a special pen called ‘canting’ and other things which i also dont understand well :)
here are the link bout batik information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batik
http://www.expat.or.id/info/batik.html
for batik itself, we can sew em into modern styles, e.g. ur style here..:)
me too do the same things. as i mentioned before, i sew batik into modern apparel..
for kebaya it is a called for style. here are the link for kebaya:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kebaya
http://www.expat.or.id/info/kebayatraditionaldress.html
as u see, kebaya made from batik fabric..these days, many indonesian people wear kebaya for wedding in modern styles..of course with lots of sequin on it :D
so far, have u understand my explanation? :)
if u wanna know more, dont hesitate to contact me :) i will try to explain what i know to u :)

Thanks, I love that it fits an elegant writer, or simply with jeans.
