An versatile and comfortable summer skirt —not in khaki. Burdastyle Magazine May 2010 #130
I’m fairly happy with the way it turned out, though the single welt pockets were a new one for me. Not as difficult as I though they would be. The zipper placket was a little tricky though (confusing directions), and I will probably shorten the extended tab if I make it again. There are wide hooks above the zipper and I thought the button was kind of redundant so I just used snaps on the end.
Skirt: cotton/linen (?) from the bargain bin. Waistband facing is Tadot by Michael Miller (I think).

Thank you for the kind comments! It was my first project in a long, long time. The extended tab is really okay, I just got a little frustrated turning it—the corners were a bit difficult and not as “sharp” as I had wanted. A good pattern though. I’m sure I’ll make it again.

I like a lot your skirt. It’s perfectly sewed. Great job and realization. :)

Very nice. I want to make this one too – but I like the long tab at the waist! And your welt pockets are perfect!
