Description

These felt-backed placemats have been made using a patchwork of fabrics from my fave Melbourne sewing store, Amitie. Basically I can’t use them because they stain and washing them is a massive pain. Oh well, you live and learn – I consider them a prototype. The 2.0 version will be made with some sort of waxed or laminated fabric instead!

Material Notes

Printed cotton for the patchwork top, wool/acrylic felt for the backing and a sticky double sided fusing to keep the sandwich together. Edges finished with overlocking.
