I finally took good photos of my Imperial bear, another of the bears my father made up. He’s a bit tinier than Purple bear, though I used the same pattern…
Again, sort of stretch velvet (recycled, as usual), shiny in this case. And also recycled fur. I'm not a fan of real fur at all, but I think that when it's already used, reusing it is much better than throwing it away...
Father for the idea of Imperial bear. :-)

Thank you! And I can relate to the face problem, each of my teddies looks differently!

This is so adorable. Like maybe_daisies said, a great toy to have as a kid. It looks like it wants to be hugged! This is soooo cute! Congratualtions on a perfectly done teddy bear face. Those are pretty hard to proportion!

Thanks, I would have loved to have such, too… but fortunately for me, I had lots of other cute toys.

I don’t speak Latin, unfortunatelly… but Ursus regalis sounds more like Royal bear… I’d have to ask somebody who studied some Latin, or our old trusty wordbook. :-)Drafting the pattern really wasn’t that hard, I made it on a grid (so I was sure I got all the measurements right) and since I already had some experience with other stuffed animals, I simply followed the principles I observed at them… moreover, the stretchy fabric covers some imperfections, it stretches over them. :-)

I love your plush bears(if my daughter sees them, I’m going to make one for her, too:)))… And you drafted a great pattern, there. I wish I could be so patient and thorough as you are… And in Romanian, bear=URS and Ursus is a local beer brand ;) So in Latin the Imperial bear= Ursus Regalis?
