Description

I altered McCall’s pattern M5640 into a maternity hospital gown. I added snaps down the center of the back. I also added them to the sleeves to open up the top. It took me longer than expected, but I think the gown turned out alright in the end. The contrast is more maroon, not red. Looks better in person!

Yes, I’m huge! But I’m 39 weeks in the picture. Just waiting for the baby to arrive! :)

    what a great idea! I have never thought of designer hospital gowns and I work in a hospital…lol. Good thing my once pregnant co-workers didn’t see this or they would have asked me to make them one. You did a wonderful job on this gown and will be very beautiful during your labor. Congrats on the baby and Happy Sewing (for you and the little one).
