Description

I don’t like coffee…so I’ll wear my Coffee Date Dress to get a coke! :)

I really loved this dress as done by maryvictoria found here: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/blue-and-white-striped-summer-dress. And actually her version is what inspired me to make my own. I found a bed sheet at the thrift store that was super cheap and went to town.

The waist is a little too loose, but I only had a 14" zipper and couldn’t get it any more fitted and still be able to take it off. I guess that’s what I get for using what I have around the house instead of buying new for this project. I really love this pattern…thank you elainemay for making this pattern available…and for free too! Yaay!

    The stripes give a fresh look to this dress, which i usually find a little too classy. Your take on it is really nice.

    I believe I made a mistake with mine, I have not lengthened the bodice, it was really short! Still, I am a petite size!!!

      I think yours worked with the lace collar though. Very feminine and pretty, the shorter bodice works.
