Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is an Audrey & Maude pattern that was in the magazine SewHip. It’s a really great pattern which is partly due to the size – it has no really fiddly little bits! Well the feet gave some trouble! The instructions say to use interfacing but as I used Ikea upholstery weight fabric I didn’t bother. I stuffed it with a clean old bed pillow which has given it a nice weight – Its heavy and I stuffed it loads so it’s real firm! I love it – and it looks great on my little orange bedside table! It should have a face (if following the instructions) but I much prefer it plain.

The pattern I used is from the SewHip magazine, issue 3 – I think! But I think you can buy just the pattern, I have seen it on etsy before now! But I just had a look and I couldn’t see any. The pattern is by Audrey & Maude and is called ‘Henrietta the Hippo’!

I’m glad some one agrees. My other faceless animals have not been received well at all – though I do think in retrospect the dismembered faceless cat head was maybe a bit creepy!
