Description

When I first saw this fabric in IKEA I knew it was perfect for this dress.
But I was so excited when I made this dress that I didn’t even noticed that I’ve made it upside down :)))))
My boyfriend notticed after it was finished…
But it turned quite well.
And because the fabric was a little see-through I fully lined it.

    Thank you for adding the fit info. I’m really shortwaisted, so it sounds as though this may be a pattern for me which will need no alterations.

    I think it’s cooler with the writing upside down. Don’t tell anyone else it was a mistake! As someone famous said – I have no idea who – never apologise, never explain….

    Very nice, even if it is upside down it’s still beautiful! The lining gives it more body as well.

    Hi there, I love the dress. Congratulations! Let’s hope not a lot of people go to IKEA now and buy the same fabric :-)) I would iron it with starch spray (apret?) to make it even more glamorous. There is a question for you. I alreday cut the patterns to make this dress from a much thicker fabric I bought in Romania last summer. The colours are very similar to the colour sin the magazine picture. I hesitated cutting it though, because the pattern looks really small, minuscule. I know is “petite”, but I thought you still follow your size. Did you have any problems with the sizing? Did you follow your normal size? I am a Romanian “Ma dame” size 36, any idea what size I should follow for this dress?

      Well, I has so excited to share it with you all that I didn’t even iron it.
      As for your question: I’m a burda size 42, so I took the size 21 for this dress and I compared the measurements with the ones for the size 42 and I saw that the bust was 2 cm higher in size 21 than in size 42 so I lengthened the pattern at the shoulders with 2 cm. I hope you understand what I did :D I sugest you compare your measurements with the measurements for the petite sizes :D
